Long time lurker, first time poster
Gday everyone, Fairly new to fishing, just starting out late last year. Haven’t landed too much, mostly just flatties and pinkies (and more Toadies than those two combined) I mostly fish saltwater off piers or sometimes off the beach. Hoping to get some good tips and advice, and looking forward to b...

Looking at google maps, should I be fishing around the pier towards the Cerberus? Or go further pass the Cerberus? Or try east? Or ...

I like it because as Mazman said, hooks don’t stick in it, and squid ink/slime rinses out of it easily. If you’re worried about your net sinking, you can slip some pool...

Dare I say it, I went trout fishing
I had the afternoon off today so I decided to head down to Pykes creek. I got there about 3pm and the wind was blowing in my face. I walked up and down the bank casting various lures and managed to get 2 browns and a couple of small rainbows. One was caught on a tassie devil and the rest on strike p...
