Caught a few carp there. Usually I can spend hours and hours no bites though. Trying to work it all out so keeping a log of daily details and weather!

Hi. Just wanted to start a general fresh thread about fishing in Berwick Springs which is very close to home. I've invested many many hours there over the past few months with some limited results. Carp, eel, redfin and roach to date.

So this last week has been rubbish. Tried when atmospheric pressure was low and high, before and after rain and during different parts of the day. Various locations around the lake. Very minor bites not even worth mentioning really. The lake level was very low at the start and now is back to normal ...

Sure. A lot of the time there is a heap of activity in most spots. Fish swirls, big splashes and fish jumping out. Sometimes you get a group of four or five carp at the surface sucking in surface scum. Although even in those times doesn't mean your getting bites! Have tried float and sinker. Got one...

Well. Heaps of fishing here and there but just no good boys. Need to jump on PC to post pics of locations. Lately I'm trying a small shallow area near Zagames. Trying shallow as suggested by previous reply, maybe better visibility for fish on bait.
