Re: How to use Lazer trolling sinker
Looks to me that you would alternate which end will face the rod tip depending on how deep you want it to run. Fat round end to run deep and pointy end for shallower.

Mornington sessions 28/2 and 1/3/2022
Been a long time since I made a contribution so thought I should post some recent reports. Headed to Mornington yesterday morning around 9.30am and started fishing at the end with 2 rods on the bottom and 1 iso rod with a float set up. Also used a simple berley mix consisting of breadcrumbs and tinn...

Re: Mornington sessions 28/2 and 1/3/2022
Good stuff. Was it crowded? Been a while since I fished there. Seems to always be overly crowded with people. Especially in summer. Wasn’t too crowded at all. There were quite a few fishos on the lower landing and start of the pier on the lee side targeting squid but not many at the end. I usually ...

Re: Apolo bay 8/3 and 9/3
Thanks for the report shazdoggg! Cheers Jon! Going to make an effort to post reports this year. Nice. I'm heading towards that area on the coming long weekend. But probably around warnambool deket though, See if the float rig will work there too. How long is your line between the hook and the float...

Re: how to target flathead at port albert
My first tip is to make sure your bait is on the bottom. Caught many 1kg+ flathead from the jetty there next to the fish co-op when I used to go there as a child on school holidays. Nothing fancy, running sinker rig with a 2/0-4/0 hook with pilchard with a 40-60cm leader from swivel to hook. The rid...

Sorrento squid and whiting 12-13/9/22
Headed out for squid last Monday morning around 9am from Rye and started fishing a drop off near Tyrone boat ramp and managed 2 small squid on jigs then moved to the “Sisters” at Sorrento then bagged out on squid on size 3-4 jigs. Dark natural colours worked well. Squid ranged from 15-45cm hoods and...

Re: Marron? Really?
Caught some last night on the Mornington peninsula. Took me a few trips to work out which areas they are in. Used the open top yabbie nets which fold flat. Bait used was old bacon, fishcake and cooked steamed chicken skin left overs from lunch. Also caught them on mango skins/seeds and old marinara ...
