Re: Back in lockdown again.

I have only been able to visit my daughter and grandkids twice in the last 18 months. The last time was in January, just before she was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the appendix. I have not been over to give her or the grandkids a hug and assure them no matter what they will be ok. Two of them ar...

Re: Back in lockdown again.

I didn't watch the press conference but apparently 75% of the days covid cases were linked to the construction industry so clearly something needs to be done. I guess if people don't want the mandates some sort of No Vax, No Ventilator policy might ease peoples' fears about hospitals getting overwh...

Hyd steering leak

I have had a small leak from my hyd steering actuator. I had purchased a seal kit a while ago which comes with the spanner to undo the end. I had to use a large knuckle bar to get leverage but once cracked it was easy. I had to remove the bracket attached to the engine mount removed the nut but I co...

Day of firsts for me

Headed out to Clifton Springs for the first time in the kayak today. I should point out that I’m a big fan (member) of Alan from Fishing Mad. I like his style of fishing and have enjoyed watching a fair bit of his channel which has so far been worthwhile for me. Aimed my turtlebacks at sandy patches...

https://vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/fishing-locations/inland-angling-guide/areas/thomson2/thomson-angling-waters First stop I ever make when hitting up a new area is this section of the VFA website. It helps form a picture of a catchment and any sub-branch creeks, what species each particul...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes

Thanks for a cracking day on the water Nick. How good is it, that a friendly chat in a tackle shop can lead to a new fishing mate. As fishermen many of us share a common bond, and willingness to learn and share. It’s an incredible pastime, be it catching, or just time spent on the water. Sharing loc...
