Re: Post counts. Do we need them?

Jon - Was thinking along the lines of the emphasis being on membership duration, as opposed to post counts. This way eradicating any ill feelings towards "post counts" completely. Just an idea mate. If there's a lot of work involved and it's not really worth it, leave things be. What's been done alr...

Re: Do wave direction effect snapper ?

Dude, think about what I have said in the examples, in relation to your real-time situation. Think! To help join the dots for you, if it is a S-SW wind, it will be an onshore wind in the N-NE section of the bay. In other words, warmies area. Based on the barometric prediction in the pic you have sho...

Re: Do wave direction effect snapper ?

Simply put, yes it can... I've found that during northerlies and easterlies it is usually a soft/timid bite/take, whereas during westerlies or southerners it is a more convincing/aggressive bite/take. However, I don't think this is quite what you're referring to. In reference to land based fishing,...

Re: Sat 28th a litany of errors.

Sounds like you were a bit out of sorts. That's not like you Ol mate! What do you mean no bait, I see some great bait sitting on the board right there ;) At least you took home a feed and didn't break anything. Lol. Does this mean you didn't get a chance to test out your new winch either? I'm sure t...

Post counts. Do we need them?

Well, do we? It appears this topic requires some discussion. What are you thoughts on post counts? Is it just a harmless number against a profile, or do you strongly feel that some members use it as a pissing competition, therefore post rubbish posts to boost up their tally? Or, should the system be...

Re: Boat Maintenance

Smile - at this time of year the grass is growing and lawns are thickening right up. The dirt underneath is also quite moist, therefore soft. Without knowing the setup of your front/back yards, have you thought about dropping the Ol girl off the trailer and do all your mods & maintenance at once? Of...

Re: Where would you be fishing for LB snapper this week?

Tonight is looking pretty good. Drove past and saw the white tops. Very nice southerly blowing with an evening high tide :tu: What is white tops Jase - White tops...white caps...white horses...are all terms used relating to the white frothy bit on the top of a wave, as it crashes/breaks in windy co...
