Lately the Mustad 92608 Size 4 Whiting hooks ive been using bend easily or break-Seems to be not as strong as was once.
Ive swapped for a while to DAIICHI Lond Shank Size 4 .Very sharp and they havent broken or bent yet
Have caught about 200 Whiting with the new guys
Any body use the DAIICHI guys?

Are long shank hooks the best for whiting?
*I'm not the best whiting fisherman and I've been using Gamakatsu Shiners

I was thinking that whilst I wrote it...everyone except Dennis loves their Shiners! (& those whiting flasher rigs are terrible as well)

Use both.
Use the shiners or black magic kl1/0 on for the sleeper rods.
The rod you use to slowly retrieve /strike on use long shank.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish, catch a fish

Black Magic not sharp enough and too bulky-Use Owner hooks

I can't fish with these lockdowns
I've forgotten what hooks I use....

If I ever get out again I hope I remember how to launch my boat let alone what hooks I use
