St Leonard’s whiting 29/6

I fished Lenny's with a friend on Saturday. Beautiful conditions, we bagged out on average sized squid within 2 hours but the whiting seemed to be impossible. We tried for a couple of hours just on the ebb tide and let me tell you we didn't have a bite let alone a whiting! Fresh caught bait, different rigs, changed spots nothing helped.

Heard very little reports from the weekend water was very clear need a bit of a blow to dirty the water up I reckon

Did u fish an hour to hour and half (best time in winter) before dark?

Nah unfortunately not mate, it was mid arvo. I'll have to do a dusk fish soon.

Agreed. I find it extremely difficult to fish for whiting when its super clear and flat, it's rare that I have any success. Maybe Denis can give us some tips on how to fish these conditions seeing he slays them day and night

Hours on the water will always get results, just some of us need to spend so many more hours out there than others lol
