Wow, thanks for all the replies lads. Simple once you know what it is.

Just looking at that rig, why would one not use a running ledger with one of those plastic tube thingies with a clip on (Easy Rigs are they ?), but instead of attaching the clip direct to the sinker you remove the clip and just tie a piece of mono 200mm long to the sinker.
Seems that way you end up with a "running ledger extended paternoster" LOL.
Any advantage/disadvantage to that.
