Whiting,Squid and the good life

Post by Blue » Tue Dec 10, 2013 1:02 pm

To all my new friends on the Forum, Heading down to Sorrento soon for my annual camp on the foreshore, We stay for a few months and come home regularly to do lawns etc, needless to say but we have a camp with everything we need, not into roughing it for that long.
I fish all the time with the Tinny around the moorings and off the "Sisters" bluffs for whiting and squid and whatever else jumps on. It's a great life and the needs are pretty simple, as long as I have a fish ,a beer and a barbie I'm happy. Over the years got to know many others down there who do the same and over the festive season , every night is Saturday night !
Take care wherever your wheels point you and
Good luck, good fishing and a great Christmas to all.

Yes, what else do you want for your life, as long as you are enjoying. I am a migrant from overseas and couldn't understand when I first saw that. i now feeling some day i would be one of them. One thing i want to ask, are you still working or self employed? A long travel every weekday to work?

To Purple and Jackie,The simple answer is that I am retired, which is a great way to be.
The one thing wrong with retirement is that for most of us, you have to be old to do it!!
That doesn't mean you sit around all day - being old -you get into life and do stuff.
I still fish all over the place and never lose interest in any facet of our sport, I'm not giving in.
Your turn will come, just enjoy the journey.
