I put mulloway in it simply for the challenge. I don't expect everyone to enter one. But hell if you can find a legal sized mulloway then well done. I know there's 0 chance of me entering a cod which grow to similar sizes.

Carl, happy to start it right now. The end date is 5 months away. That gives people plenty of time to pay. You can only win if paid up. To be fair on everyone you can't stockpile photos and only enter towards the end if you think you're a chance to win. It's meant to be fun and honest.

For the sake of a few days finalizing entry costs etc it won't hurt to open it now.

Is everyone happy with a $5 entry fee? I think whilst its pretty low it will still give a decent prize by the time you get 20+ entered.

Just to make it clear. One fish from each species. Just cos you caught 40x 28cm snapper doesn't mean you can enter all of them lol

Sounds good man, I thought $10 would be fine, but if the concensus is 5, thats cool.
Jon did mention one thing, paypal will take a cut unless you use the send money to friends or family option..you must also put a note alongside the transaction mentioning that it is for the fishing comp.

Can you upgrade your size during the comp..? Say I enter a 55cm sambo, then a month later catch a 58, can I upgrade..?

I'm about to go to sleep. Can you make a poll thread about entry costs and leave it up for a day or so, see what the general consensus is. I'm happy for $10. I'll throw a few other bits a pieces in as well. But there's a lot of younger people here too.

scraglor there is no legal limit for trout, redfin and carp. which can grow quite sizeable. good idea though.

I agree on ten, more in the pot better, outcome for winner and makes it worth while no offence to anyone. Not that I have a chance, I am in Apollo bay just finished a shift had better luck with crabs lol, told I am about a week too late. Salmon none, gummy none, seaweed branch approx. 5 kg and about 85 cm, crabs 2 in the bucket ( can't believed I hoped for a Bango/ray lol ). So yes interesting night I guess bed time now, but yeah I am in when ready 5 or 10 whichever decided just wanna be part of it, make some mates and see how I go, good night and good on you guys
