The whole Coorong area is just amazing, it's like you're on a different planet.

I know the fishing is better in Spring / Summer but I'd still be happy to venture there for a winter trip.

Yep that's where my last trip was! So much more to explore though. Didn't manage to get any fishing in either as it bucketed down the night we found an awesome river/lagoon

I've done Dargo, Walhalla/Thomson Dam, Otways, Toolangi, Strathbogie, Big River, Sapphire Coast/Croajingalong in the last couple of years.

Here's a bunch of my thomson dam area pics. I really need to get a good photo hosting site

With only 4 days it's a bloody long drive from melbourne

If we are doing that area we will probably only make it to Robe/Beachport

Will add Coorong area to the list for bigger trips though

Robe would be good. A few nice places to camp and you could drive from robe to beachport on the sand through the dunes. It's pretty awesome over there!

Wonangatta Station, Crooked River, Wongongarra River, Upper Dargo to Harrison's Cut then a drive over to Omeo via The Dog's Grave and Black Sallee. Fish the Wongatta, Wongongarra, Crooked, Dargo, Mitta Mitta, Cobungra and Big River.... Great trip
