Re: 2014 New Year fishing resolutions!
Well, I ticked off a few last year;
Catch my first squid ✔
Catch my first 50cm+ Flatty ✔ (was pretty exciting considering ive pulled in at least 2000 of the buggers over the years)
Catch my first Aussie Salmon (just under 1kg) ✔
Catch my first 5kg+ Snapper ✔
Catch my first whiting landbased (cape pat) ✔
Next year:
Catch my first 30cm+ hood cala
catch a 1kg+ Sambo
New PB Red (5.2kg)
Learn to Whiting fish in a boat (well)
Catch my first keeper gummy
Happy new year all, I hope next year is an even better years fishing than the last, and I reckon I have had one of the best seasons yet last year.

Haha i got my first big bango a few weeks ago at blind bite, i was stuffed, it felt like my arms where gonna fall off.CarlG wrote:Number three.....I can see your face when you catch your first mighty banjo...awesome....Rod Bender wrote:Here we go again! Fail for me in 2013 so I am going to stick with what I was after - but this time around I may actually try!
1. To catch a cod off the surface. Have only attempted this once from memory.
2. To catch a yella on a lure. Have rarely targeted yellas on lures but I live in a very good area for them so no excuses!
3. To catch my first saltwater...anything. Have never pulled anything out of the salt except seaweed! Not even a starfish! Have rarely fished 'salt' as well.
feel free to add your goals here!
cheers

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad
