That is a great book. Every angler should own a copy, I frequently refer back to mine..

stupid question time... has anyone tried , salt water bait in fresh water?? ie: prawn, whitebait, squid strips.

Don't use it myself but apparently pilchard is a good bait for Trout and Chinooks in Bullen Merri & Purrumbete.

thats what i was considering.. prawn and pilly strips for trout.. but i might try a bit of everything...

i have used pilchard and caught redfin with it before
