Where would you go for a four day 4wd/fishing trip?
Where would you go for a four day 4wd/fishing trip?
Looking for a good spot to go 4wding and fishing for late August
Leaving Wednesday night, home Sunday night. We have 3-4 pretty decked out 4wds so can do pretty much any tracks that will be open
At the moment thinking of heading to Robe because we've never done any sand driving and there is good surf fishing to be had
Maybe up to Big desert to do the border track
Or closer options like Cape otway/Johanna beach area
Where would you guys recommend?

Probably 4wd because none of my mates are really into fishingbarra mick wrote:Depends if you want to fish or 4wd for the majority of yr time ??
At least on the surf I feel like less things can go wrong, I have a fair bit of gear and they are less likely to get bored
Did that area over christmas with the girlfriend it was bloody awesome but wanna explore somewhere newDougieK wrote:BM has it spot on.barra mick wrote:Depends if you want to fish or 4wd for the majority of yr time ??

Seriously want to do SA beach driving. I've heard winter is a bad time for it though so will need to do a bit of research
If we do end up going to southern SA do you know any good land based fishing spots?
