state schools parents are nurses/ health care workers,if you close Public schools you r hurting the health care sector.

I tend to agree that we should have closed the borders earlier but I’ll support the government on this, like I have a choice anyway. I’m keeping my son at school as long as I can because I know he’ll do stuff all during the day when I’m at work if I kept him home. Hopefully the hoarding starts to slow down now, it’s pretty hard to stomach.

I think maybe the new limits the super markets are introducing might be starting to have an impact, there was a little bit of meat on the shelves when I went in last night.
I heard the seniors only timeslot was a disaster though with a bunch of cranky old Karens trying to grab all the bog rolls before the really old folk could shuffle around and get what they needed.

I almost bought some shares in it today but decided there's probably worse news in the pipeline which will smash the market up a bit more so I'll hold off for a couple of weeks. If I don't lose my job out of this **** with any luck I'll have a decent little portfolio when we get to the other sidepurple5ive wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:30 amand then some bad news for qantas.

Re: Corona virus part 2
That’s an unusual one, we have posters at work from the world health organisation as well, that says a runny nose is a common cold symptom and not a coronavirus symptom? Confusing

Correct.
That 9 news graphic is off, even though it references the WHO runny nose is not a listed symptom on the WHO website or anywhere else

Re: Corona virus part 2
The more I think about it the government is probably a week or two late in critical decisions being implemented. Like others I’m looking like I’ll have an extended period without an income casualisation I’m more concerned for anyone whose a bit fragile.

The other danger is this sending people broke can see people struggling to make ends meet ignoring symptoms to work on through the whole working country needs paid sick leave in a time like this and those in already impacted industries need support.
