With all the gloom, let's share some happy stories of helping out our fellow Aussies , , , , being a Corona Buddy
This lady's name is Tory, a friend of mine.
She works for a large Aged Care Company that gives care and assistance to the elderly and disadvantaged in their own homes. A lot of anxious and scared people out there.
Tory has worked 7 days a week since almost the start of COVID-19 showing up here. Long hours coordinating all types of assistance for the clients.
She struggles to get out to do her own shopping and when she does, she struggles to find even essential supplies. She called me to ask if she could borrow a couple of rolls of toilet paper (not sure why she said borrow, I didn't want them back after she used them
)I don't have heaps like most of us, and even with a quick shop early on Saturday morning only got a 16 pack of loo paper and two packets of Pasta. So I added from my pantry an extra pack of pasta and some paper towels. And also two dozen eggs from the butt's of my chickens (lovely ladies they are).
I met Tory outside her work today and delivered her gifts
Who said that roses are the way to win a lady's heart , , , , never underestimate the winning power of silky smoothness of 2 ply heaven

I had an old bloke while I was in Coles, ogle my 9 roll pack of dunny paper, saying there was none left. He seemed genuine, so I gave him the 9 pack.
