I joined the masses on Sunday...boat started 1st turn and ran like a watch all day. Drifted for flathead using flasher rigs with squid off Altona, Black Rock & StKilda (6mts off StKilda produced the most). Lots of birds diving around Sandringham up to Green Point but could find any salmon.
Was great just burning off the cobwebs!
Good stuff!

Sad that you’ve turned your back on WPB however. Traitor.

When the to Werribee this arvo ...wish I had stayed home.
Nearly everything that could go wrong did....
To sum it up , I launched the boat 2 times and still did not get to fish...fml

Never seen so many trailers....
That would have been extremely frustrating!!
Boat didnt start?

The Good weather got the better of me and i decided id give the boat a run.
plague of micro pinkies and some red mullet came onboard.
there were so many boats out it was madness.

no salmon was to be fund, but some kayakers at the ramp had some medium sized ones in their bag, so the fish were around there somewhere.
[/quot
Hooked up boat n dog had bitten trailer light connection of, rewired all good.
Launch boat ,motor started n stop ,then flat battery.
Got new battery,n 3/4 new fuel and re launch n boat was running like ****.(will drain all petrol n refuell)
Took boat ou hit gutter and axel moved..
Use winch to straighten axel n winch rope broke,
Fixed axel n low beams in car will not work.
High beam all way home
Bimini pole also broken...
Basically, if it could go wrong.. it did go wrong. Very frustrating.

Also, whats up with the quotes??? Somethings not right.

Normally Hastings (1hr drive) & Rhyll if we are staying on the Island......A couple of guys on here use Yaringa Marina to store and launch their boats & it sounds like a great option for ease and convenience.

One thing i definitely miss about my old 4.2m tinny was being able to launch and retrieve using the shallow water ramp at the Werribee River ramps. There was almost never a wait to use it. Especially at low tide.

Except the time that some bloke just sat there with his car with his jetski in the lineup area on his phone talking to his mate while we are waiting in line to launch.

Sounds like a typical jetski owner.

I think the social distancing means more solo boaties and few hands per boats, hence more boats per person. Rush hour on the roads is the same with little ride sharing and avoidance of public transport.

Sorry to hear bowl, seems like a litany of errors , , , , hard to shake those off once they start.
Hope you're on the water better, brighter and better soon

Yes, I said better twice , , , , sounds like you could do with a bit more luck than just one "better"

Cheers, Better Bug
