so RB .. After the Thai wife, you're left with $400K

Then the South American wife left you for a young stud, you're worst off by $200

Hope you will hand on to your Russian wife coz if if she leave then you will be left with just $100K

and after all the legal eagle costs, your net worth probably is about where you were before you won the $800K :rf:
Going from experience?
Nah .. just simple 2 division math calculations :)

Known a few fellows whom have treaded down this unpleasant paths - ain't pleasant i've been told :)

Go straight to crown and try double it, then think about what i'd do with $1.6 mill. Maybe try double that again :)

$800k is SFA but enough to set you up for life

Would probably pay off the mortgage. Extend the house. Buy a new car for the missus and I. There goes $700k. The remaining $100k spend $30k on a mad holiday. Keep the other $70k for first investment prop deposit. Then just slowly build the portfolio stress free and living comfortably. Leaves me 27 years to build it and retire before 60

Won 2 div in sat nite lotto around 6/7 years ago for 8.6k. Was 1 number off a clean mill!!

Some of my gambling friends told me that was my one and only chance at striking a mill! Guess they couldn’t have been more wrong, haha! For those you who are unaware of my backstory, I hit the crown jackpot few years back for 1.6 mill. Bought large acreage along the great ocean rd, bought few toys(hobie, boat, atv etc), gave some to family and invested the rest. Luckily for me I struck gold at the ripe age of 33. Pretty sure I would have pissed it up the wall on wine, women and lambos if I scored it in my early 20’s

Given the current property market, 1 mill AUD ain’t worth as much as it seems. Like others have mentioned, how an individual would invest(or splurge) depends on your appetite for risk. The next few months should present some very exciting investment opportunities for those willing to get their hands dirty. From someone who has probably gambled more than most here, I can’t stress enough, NEVER gamble or invest more than you can AFFORD to lose!

The only benefit from (professional)gambling Vs traditional investments are that proceeds of gambling are tax free in Australia.

Whenever people ask me if they should play poker as a job, I tell them: “It’s the hardest way to make an easy living”!!!

A young lad(19-21)who was working at the Star casino in Sydney made the trip to crown melb for a gambling weekend(casino employees are prohibited from gambling at their casino for obvious reasons) in early 2018.

On the day he arrived he played Caribbean stud and hit the royal flush. This is no minor feat and he scooped the major jackpot for 1.3-4mill. This was on the main gaming floor so Crown staff were so kind to give him a gold card with Mahogany room/private saloon access(where the biggest 🐳 play) and a complimentary suite at Crown towers for a few nights.

Young lad then proceeded to play high stakes baccarat in a private saloon and ran his winnings up to >6mill. This has been verified by multiple friends who deal in these rooms. Within 2 days he busted that 6mill and flew back to Sydney(presumably a broken man). This story is no secret among the crown high stakes reg’s and is a story which is far too common.
