Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with her but she is asking a lot. I much prefer to fish alone. Plus she’ll probably out fish me like trout-hunter.
Haha mate she only out fished me once.. i straightened all her hooks and put little cuts in her line + soaked her lures in petrol and took the guts out of her reel.. haha no chance on out fishing me again! (Joke) she will always have the best catch "she landed me" lol.. i havent broken off in the last 20 years so she must have her drag set perfectly.

I totally understand Troy :tu:

My Mrs (Ex now) and I have had lots of fishing adventures, some are still endearing memories that we still remember, brag about and equally some we laugh about. Equally, Don and I love fishing (and getting away) with our kids, which have made for some great times.

BUT, fishing and fishing trips are for a myriad of reasons.

There are still the fishing trips that we just want to be on our own, for what ever reason.

So back on topic of helping out a Bro with some advice/suggestions of the wifeless trips , , , , they say honesty is the best policy (and a quick way to sleeping on the couch with that itchy blanket). Would Mrs Troy be receptive to a discussion that some fishing trips on your own are for your own down time? I probably wouldn't use the "going fishing with the lads" as that can open up a can of worms :o_0:

I feel for you , , , , as you are caught between a "rock and a couch"

Cheers, Bugs

The amount of fish you catch Denis, I’m not surprised she is like a fishmonger.
Maybe I’ll take her occasionally to the river in good weather, I doubt she’ll come surf fishing in the middle of winter. I’m just hoping that she doesn’t want to play golf too.

That’s an expensive fishing session. 250 an hour ... apparently.
