Wanting to go surf fishing down Gunnamatta, but unable to find reports on fishing success atm.
Worth going down there to throw a line for snapper and whiting?

It's good for aussie salmon in winter.
Whiting should be there during warmwr months and mullet. Gummy at night is possible.

Possible, but rare reports of snapper caught off gunnamatta beach.
I'm assuming you're gonna baitfish. Have two setups. One heavier setup for bigger fish, could get you snapper or whatever. And lighter setup for your whiting, mullet, etc.
