Barwon Heads Boat Rescue & Drowning

Post by Andrews » Sat Feb 03, 2024 2:43 pm

Hey everyone,

Just another reminder to stay safe on the water.
I was fishing land-based at Barwon Heads this-morning before 7am and wittnessed the tinny flip in the 3-4M swell at the mouth.
The current was ripping through there, unsafe to enter the water and thankfully some jetskis were able to rescuse one bloke.
Second wasn't so fortunate and supported with bringing him back to the shore until police arrived.

Keep safe out there.

Very sad indeed. If in doubt don’t go out, it’s better to be on land wishing you were on the water than to be on the water wishing you were on land. Well done to those that were able to assist.
