Mozzie repellents - options and opinions?

Bushmans Spray on to begin with and if you get bitten, rub Bushmans 80% DEET ( from a tube) on bite - Irritation gone in 10 minutes

I got absolutely shredded at Queenscliff last weekend; it was a plague only a flamethrower could remedy. 50 stings in barely 5 attempted minutes of fishing; had to leave them biting. Drove back home an hour and a half before realising I had a can of Aeroguard in the car...

The mozzies on the Bellarine feed on aeroguard, it is what makes them so wild, they chew people to shreds. This humid weather has them wild all along the coast, worse at night! They didn't spray as much this year due to all the rain so that is fun.

Many years ago a mate of mine who was in the Army & stationed in QLD gave me a small dark green plastic bottle that have a oily liquid in it. It said it worked a treat on mosquito's. It did work a treat on them too, it really stank, even kept people away.. good thing was it worked, have no idea what it was called..

Bellarine mozzies are also thought to spread that flesh eating bacteria that’s been causing ulcers in people from time to time.
