Spent about 2 hours in the paddock learning a lesson in humility.

If i dont get greedy, i can get 5oz - 70m.

if i get greedy, a wedge tailed eagle can nest in my reel seat.

Taking the kayak and bream gear with me too, have to give the flats a crack.

Mazman tagged along for the trip too and we had a great time fishing the flats.

The slidebaiting however ran into some difficulties. the swell was up and my 5oz lead didnt hold bottom enough to slide bait, also had a big f off birds nest, largely due to me being the wrong tool for the job.

More practice , will be back!
Ive gotten in touch with Jeremy and hopefully have a more favourable result next time .

At least you gave it a crack mate. It’s always difficult at first learning something new. Practice makes perfect. Better luck next time!
