Working with Wire 101
Hey guys,
I am looking to start using wire more often over summer for the sharks after last seasons bite offs.
Can someone who has experience with this sort of something , put down some pointers for the benefit of everyone ?
Cheers
Aaron

Re: Working with Wire 101
I used wire and then inserted glow tube all the way through to cover up the trace.
Im not sure if it works 100% but I caught gummies on it
You can also buy the heat weld wire which is like a plastic coated type which you heat up to join ends. Pretty handy and only need a cigarette lighter to do rigs

Re: Working with Wire 101
It will be just as easy and probably cheaper, if just starting out to grab some pre made trace from Kev at Predator tackle.
https://www.ebay.com.au/str/predatortackle He sells a lot to the guys/girls that fish the 90 mile, I've dealt with him for hooks before and it was a quick easy transaction, no hassles.
If you want to make your own, then he sells all the components needed also

If you only want to go light, I can probably make up some for you, I've got everything in the shed for the lighter wire to up to about 100kg maybe even some 200kg stuff.smokin_reels wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:42 amThis looks the goods

Brett, I am only looking to realistically stop smaller models on heavy spin outfits.Brett wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 12:13 pmIf you only want to go light, I can probably make up some for you, I've got everything in the shed for the lighter wire to up to about 100kg maybe even some 200kg stuff.smokin_reels wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:42 amThis looks the goods
