Gummy Sharks Phillip Island

Hey there,
I am new to this forum but love fishing, I will be heading down to Phillip Island in January and hoping to catch some (one will do) gummy shark.
Any tips of places to try Baits etc. I live in central Vic so most of my fishing is fresh water but If i can get to the beach I love salt water fishing.
Surf or pier fishing will be what I am look at in January
