Saw the 9foot6-10 kg Shimano FOW General P 902 Rod on sale on Sneakyfisho.com.au for $52. It said can be uses for popping, maybe worthwhile? I haven't check the full spec and review yet, but for the price it's worth it i think

Very good price indeed, i grabbed only the stick from Anaconda weeks ago @ $88, so to me paying another $11 for a shimano 4000 reel is marvelous deal.

Re: Catana 902 Shoreline
I have had two Catanas in the past the 802 bream and 702 SP and both are great bang for your buck rods. One of the better budget graphite rods IMO. As for the 902 shoreline, I have the Starlo Classix 902 and it casts metals and SP's very easily and this combo is probably one outfit for the beginner chasing beach salmon, etc. The solstace is probably a good reel for the budget price but as has been stated, look after it to get the best life out of it.
