i used to get hundreds upon hundreds in certain areas in my backyard, litterally filled a small bucket full of them... havent seen them in those proportions for a while now...that was a couple of years ago mind you..they tend to go into old rotten tree stumps and under potplants dont they?

I come across quite a few bardi grubs while splitting the local gum firewood. Didn't even think to use them as bait, I usually just chuck them to the magpies as I'm splitting wood. The maggies line up around me waiting for them , they love them.

At about $3 each(maybe more) you wouldn't need to dig many to cover a decent bit of new gear!!! Never heard of them under potplants, generally they have to be extracted out of their holes with an old brake cable with a hooked end, they are hard to get, that's why so dear,
As a matter of interest, what did the grubs look like that you were able to find in the hundreds?
To find a fish
You do the miles.
Catch the fish
and earn the smiles.

Lord, allow me to catch a fish, so large that even I,when speaking of it afterwards.........May have no need to lie !!!
