I prefer them frozen they hold on better . You have to boil them in water an vanilla essence for 20 seconds then freeze them or else they turn black

Boats and more in Shepparton has them from time to time. Alive and frozen. I use to get them from a guy in Bendigo, he has a sign at his house.
They make a great bait. Can be expensive though, especially when the grunters and carp are about.

I just keep mine in cigarette packets in my beer fridge(one per pack) As long as they stay cold they are dormant.Last up to 6 months.

Ahhhhhhh , So they do store like maggots and stay dormant too in the fridge, thanks for the info :thumbsup:
