took the kayak out of elwood last sunday. did a bit of exploring and headed down towards st.kilda. just out from the elwood canal i seen a big school of salmon. hooked one on a whole pilchard - great fight on the light stuff. 40cm and pretty fat and happy. brighton usually hots up for k.g whiting in november. sth oz pippys seem to be the only thing they take and it is possible to bag out. just as you get around the corner of the breakwall. thats the spot. dropps from 2m to 3m and they just hang out there. get a good run of pinkies later in the season too. cheerz

As I've moved closer to the water, Brighton is one of my locals now! I'm sure I don't live too far from admin also

I'm just waiting for the sun to come out for at least a week and a weekend free so I can get out there!

Had a quick fish down at Brighton tonight for 2 undersized pinkies and 2 very small and very slimy rays!
Very cold and not many fish around.

That's crazy man. I'm thinking of heading there tonight, don't have any bait but anyone know what the water may be like? clear or is it murky brown?
