Great Session with PB Snapper.

Post by adtrac » Sat Sep 27, 2014 7:45 am

Hey Guys,
Was up nice and early this morning to target some calamari and snapper and had the rods in the water around 330am. Wasn't long before the action started with regular bites and some smaller pinkies landed for a couple of keepers and some released. Around 430 I was reeling in my first calamari when my Prevail fully buckles over and when I pick it up the fish peels off on a nice run, then begins to give me some really nice solid tell tale head shakes.
After a good fight I get my first look at the fish in the water and to my delight its a nice big snapper, which ended up going 82cms, estimated in the 5-6kg vicinity. Landed a couple more pinkies and also bagged some more calamari making for great early morning session.

Great reward for early session Ad. Ripper size snapper. I assume landbased fishing so it must be a PB.
Well done

Well done Ad that's a beauty. Did you salmon as bait or the calamari you were catching?
