Went last night to same beach location I've been smashing the squid at....and smashing my bank acc replacing jigs. Was a bit too windy afterall to jig easily so gave up n sat on the bait rod. I got absolutely smoked by something large at one point on the Catana, thought I was going swimming for a moment there. Did see an eagle ray scoot by earlier so I have my suspicions :Boxing: Ended up with 4 pinkies that were slightly bigger than the size we have been getting in recent weeks. The icing on the cake was a really meaty 40cm flathead that my missus caught :thumbsup: Best baits in the last few weeks have by far been squid, fresh and frozen.
