I've seen jewies cruising there at night. They were small like 60cm ones. So could easily be them.
I have also seen some monster flathead landed there.
Only one way to find out I guess...

having any see squid being caught around there mate? Spring and sunmmer time is best landbase squid.

Thats a nice flatty from brighton, on plastics too! That looks like the pier part of brighton to me, never had any success in places other than the breakwall, whats your strategy for around there?
