1st legal pinky at brighton breakwall!!!

Got down there yesterday arvo and got a good spot near the last hut..by the time it got dark ( 2hours later) i had n bites and was surrounded by fishermen..it was abit close for my liking but i stood my ground and held my territory
in the never ending turf wars of the breakwall..
A couple guys around me caught a pinky or two but they were pritty small, and then my rod went off.
My drag was going nuts even thou it was on pritty tight and whatever it was it was alot bigger then a pinky...but it fell off befor i could even get a look at it...SHATTERD.
5 mins later on my other lighter rod i hooked on to a much smaller fish which was my first legal pinky (35cm) from a pier!!!
Best thing was the day befor i learnt how to make drop knots and made my own rigs instead of buying them..good feeling. Not much else happend and i left by 9:30pm. Afew other pinkys here and there but a quite night..
But i was still wrapped!!!
