Any chance anyone can let me know what sort of wind direction would be best for land based fishing around the docklands/ port melbourne area?

Have done well with any southerly wind around the port Melb area. Best results when there has been a bit of chop. Having said that have caught when it's been flat calm as well...

Minimum. Synonym - least value, lowest. Etc.

Flat water LB is for chicken. Lol

Thanks Lightningx... How choppy are we talking? 10-15 knots or even more?

You going to be around the port melb area soon?

10-15 knots is fine mate.
I fished that area a lot landbased for salmons 4-5 months ago.
Now I'm fishing more from the boat :P

Plenty of good fish can be caught landbased too mate.
I just hate the packed piers at this time of the year.
It's worth doing some scouting for some quieter places
