Thinking to go to gunnamatta beach on Saturday or Sunday during the day, casting metal lures. But gonna be low tide mid day I think. Worth going?
Do dawn or dusk.

My silver whiting got repeatedly sharked at my squid spot today.

20lb leader does not last long. If someone finds a random shark with 3 squid prongs stuck in it's gob, they're mine.

Chucked the boat in at werribee south around2.30 pm and went accross to st.leonards in pretty choppy and sloppy conditions which took at least an hour which normally takes 35-40mins
The ting were on as soon as I got there ended up with a full bag to 42cm and was at the ramp by 6.30pm and pretty stocked after 6 weeks

Last night's effort at Mordialloc was successful enough for ~1 hour's worth of effort, especially given a side-wind doesn't really play ball with ultralight fishing -- a small pinkie, a small salmon. The latter of which was a keeper, I guess, but both swam off to end up on a barbecue another day. Nothing spectacular, but nice to break the drought on the first session out.

To be honest all the guys on my shift are looking forward to the stand down it’s a bit demoralising putting the aircraft to sleep. Instead of a couple of hundred movements a day we have between 3 and 6
