Saturday trip from Werribee

Post by Yota » Sun Jan 26, 2020 3:58 pm

4 of us went out in my tub yesterday (2couples) was going to launch from Altona but got diverted towards Geelong as the city bound lanes were closed. So Werribee was an easy answer.
Launched at 12 - beautiful conditions, cruised towards my usual spot.
Ended up with 6 flatties and 3 good size gummies.
Bait was good old servo pillies
By 5 the weather had turned and we headed home with the girls complaining the whole way Ha ha ha.
But we had a fantastic day

Ps had some gummy tonight with a different recipe, chatting to a fella at the cleaning table yesterday - he said give the fish a go using crushed salt and vinegar chips instead of panko or bread crumbs. I can confirm it's a great idea. I've heard of it before but first time tried it tonight :gj:

Cheers fellas, yep gummies are always fun to catch and great eating. Was going to try getting some whiting on the way home but the it really did bow up late in the afternoon. I don't usually get around Werribee way so I'm a bit lost knowing where to target whiting.

Thanks Robbie it was a great afternoon - quick session for me, usually if I go out on the boat I stay out for at least 7-8 hours and I usually start before sunrise so this was a quick afternoon session.
A bit of friendly banter back at the cleaning table was fun too.
