Ramp was full in arvo, werribee.

I went solo fishing.
Plenty other boats had 3,4,5,6 people in it.
Fished by myself closer towards long reef inclose 3meters n thick weed grass..
Got a few fish and boat went nicely...

Well done Bowl.. I was off the spit yesterday morning at 5.30am on the mark, I literally didn't find one whiting for hours. I gave up and starting chasing squid, even the squid were thin, only walked away with 3. A very very slow morning. Actually not a bite, not even a pinky. Spoke to some other people at the ramp and they all said similar.

Geeze Thats exactly where i was, I nearly bottomed out on the reef. The water clarity was superb yesterday morning, i think this may have been part of the problem. I find whiting to be slow in the shallows when the water clarity is too good.

Good effort mate.

My boat has been off the water since about May last year. Nothing was wrong with it, i just had some family issues with my parents up in Queensland which required me to travel back and forth a lot so i didnt have any time to get out after winter.

Anyway i fired her up last week with no problems starting and it ran nicely, i was all set for the first trip out last Tuesday, only to find the steering seized! A common problem, i know, but i just cant seem to get this one free. Its looking like im going to have to get a mechanic to fix it, which is not going to be any time soon with work how it is at the moment. :(
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

From memory Purple5 done some work to his steering not long ago, maybe worth asking him for some advice before you see a mechanic.
