Werribee, it's good be out fishing again.

Woke up at 3am, started fishing 4am.
High tide 5:40am.
9°c at 5am.
10% moon clear sky and only a breeze of westerly wind.

With snapper season is here I packed 7kg 7ft plastic rod and a 9kg 9ft bait rod.

A lot of people but less than I expected.
Quiet morning, nothing til about 7am.
One small 27cm salmon on zMan slim swimz and a big banjo on squid head bait. A guy next to me caught a 30cm pinkie and that's it.
Ended the session 8am to be at work 9am.

Nice work Seb!
I’m about to head out for my first session now just waiting for my friend to arrive 😃
We are going for some squid but I’ll be happy to catch anything right now!
Cheers 👍🏻

Yeah I was very happy to hooked on a fish after a while.
And I live 7km from this werribee rocks, imagine the struggle.
Waiting on a calm westerly wind to be out on the yak.

Barring any more unforeseen problems... trailers lights not working, steering seized, lockdown called on the day i was going out etc etc... then i should be out at first light on Thursday.

I swung past Warmies this afternoon to check things out. The car park was about 2/3 full. And there was about 40 or 50 boats between Gellibrand and Willy footy ground. Nowhere near as many as there was when the last lockdown ended.. but that was a beautiful day and today was a bit choppy.
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

Went there again to have a look and flick for a bit.
Strong onshore wind, very choppy and dirty, and weedy.
There's still fair few of people.

Can't wait for a calm day to be out on the yak.
