Fished 7pm - 10:30pm on a high tide. Landed 2 KG-whiting on squid strips.
When I arrived there was a gentleman with a bucket full of whiting who encouraged me to change my small rod over from targeting squid with a jig (first time) under a float to chasing the whiting with a running sinker rig - great idea! He was using blood worms, but my squid strips worked well too. I had mixed feelings about this spot in the past, but it clearly pays to have a crack in the shallower water. I'll definitely head back soon and I've learned to prepare better for all the sandfly bites.
