st kilda pier going off 27/3
fished st kilda pier last night from 4.30 in the afternoon till about 9
got my first fish 10 minutes in nice 34 cm pinky then got a beauty of 43cm about 5.20 rods were buckling over everywhere the schools would come on go. ended up with 7 keepers and lost two nice fish due to my laxness. smaller keeper was just over 28 and the largest 42. most of the fish were 33-36cm
it didnt matter where you were fish were getting caught all along from the first little landing all the way to the end of the pier. everyone had a feed to take home. mostly all fish caught casting toward city side. a guy next to me's rod went straight over the pier and and i caught an 11 foot graphite rod before it went in the drink. drags boys
cubed pilchards done the damage with paternoster rig with size 1/0 circle and gama octopus circle hook size 2. underarm cast is all you needed but alot of fish were caught casting out too. just watch were the fish are at.
was very windy south west but with the wind on your back is very manageable. this morning should be good there been biting all day
fish were still biting when i left.
if you were there last night you'll know what im talking about.
should be good over the next month. thursday was suppose to have been epic too for those taht braved the westerlies.
look forward to hearing more reports sorry for errors typing quick and gotta go
cheers nick

pictures or it never happened.
You mean something like this?
trevally = 47 cm
biggest pinky = 43 cm
others from 33 cm to 41 cm
pinkies 32 cm and under = tossed back

St Kilda pier is a joke. It's now like Bourke St during boxing day sale. With this report, expect it to be like MCG on Sunday.
Looks like the fish were everywhere last night. People were fishing in front of Brighton beach bathing boxes and they were busy too.
For the record, I fished somewhere else last night.....

St Kilda is now like Vlad Putin's barracks.
