This arvo at 4pm there was a salmon school busting up, massive school the size of the school was from Altona boat ramp to Williamstown, I was on the phone to my mate as he was out there bringing them in, said it was mayhem boats everywhere getting in on it, they got 30 in 1 hour between 2 people all around the 2kg mark then went and got there 20 pinkies. I was gonna take my boat out as well today but change my mind and decided to stay home.

That's a seriously big school mate. Maybe if they were around today they might be there again tomorrow?

Yeah more then likely mate around 4pm, even if the don't bust up just troll there will be a lot of scattered ones that have strayed from the school usually the case when schools that big

I've got them up to 3kg in the bay, but usally they are about 1.5kg - 2.2kg.

How far from the shore was the school mate?

Not far about 4meters of water so about 500meters out roughly
