The Port Fires Again

Post by Scraglor » Tue Jan 06, 2015 3:32 pm

So, we launched at 5:30 to fish the low tide at the new secret spot :P, however, we only had one fish until about an hour after the change. We thought, ah well, just have a cuppa, and we'll pack it in, nek minnit, we had about 3 hours of full on fishing. Left the fish biting, however we were well past our deadline and the esky was full so we called it a day. Hopefully they are still there in a few days time when we head out again :)

Final Tally was;

26x 40-45cm Whiting (a couple of smaller ones)
2x mid 30s Pinkies
1x gummy 55cm from the base of tail to the first gill
11x yellowtail scad (bait for next time)
1x leatherjacket
1x 35cm Trevally

Not a bad morning out

Good job! Sound like an awesome day out on the water. How was the tide today? Heavy sinkers?

Yeah, was good. Tide was running pretty hard, but not as bad as it can do. Still had to use pretty hefty sinkers though.
