bait schools
hi i went for a fish tonight of hastings pier last night.there were all these tiny bait fish[inch long] school up on the surface under the lights thousands of them with bigger fish hitting the schools,coming out the water and attacking the schools.wondering if anyone would happen to know what fish was feeding on them,i couldnt get a good at them but there some decent spashes

most likely salmon, since it was the same 2 weeks ago at altona so much bait swimming around the pier after a berley.

My bet is slimeys or yakkas, probably yakkas! Was out last night and they were milling around the back of the boat because of the light. Chuck a sabiki down and hold on!!!
