It's been a while.
After all these squid reports, I thought it might be worthwhile to head off to one of my regular spots(not so regular lately, it's been about 18mnths since I've been down the rocks)
Anyway, with the arrows being spoken about, I thought I'd have a go at a spot that has produced them before. Well that was a bust as I popped up over the rise, I saw 2 ppl already there and already catching squid.
I gave it a shot for a little while just off to the side of them, where we have been known to target snapper(sept/oct), managed to get 3, in about an hour and a quarter
So gave up and headed to another favorite spot, hadn't been here for a fair while either.
Anyway, first cast and I got one :super: second cast and I got another, so after 15 minutes and missing a superb opportunity to photograph the sunset, with ships in the foreground. I had caught 8 squid to go with my first 3. :a_goodjob: my first bag for a few yrs.
The last one I released for good luck.
So it's bait in the freezer and even some good enough for the table.
Best part is, it's only 3km from my back door

Good catch mate, beats mowing lawns, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
