I agree e, and the blue fleshed ones are the best. They make a great soup too, not as fishy

Sebby, love ya work Bud.

The photos show that you are "living the dream", looks like an awesome place to fish too. Great that you got onto the Squid and the jackets :a_goodjob:

On the not getting the Tings , , , , I can show you where they are

Show Seb the Ting.PNG

But I did notice the Lemons that you use, in this photo and in your recipe photos. What Lemons are they? They almost look like The Thing from Fantastic 4.

I have Eureka Lemons, the tree has lemons all year round.

Hahaha thanks Bug.

I call it brain lemon or walnut lemon or The Thing lemon. But other people call it kaffir lime :-D
I have kaffir lime tree on my backyard along with lemon tree, overgrown rosemary, parsley, etc.

The whiting are actually around in good numbers but you need to get past those pinkies. After dark has been doing well (landbased)

Slightly up north past Mornington pier but they have been showing up at the pier too. Got a few from boat too but its something like 1 whiting to 20 pinkies. It's been pretty consistent lately though. Around this time last year was getting them around mordi-beaumaris too off the beach.

Landbased is hard though, can't really berley that far out and they only hang around for a while. From boat you just need to berley hard.

I've got kayak, no boat. That what I was hoping on Sat, on the yak around Mornington for whitings, but none caught. Pinkies and leather jacket everywhere. I got out a bit late and couldn't see the sand hole, maybe that was my first mistake.

Yeah kayak should be good, my spots are all within about 500m of the shore. The whiting share similar spots as squid so you were close, just unlucky. Keep trying!
