mornington pier

once again me and my uncle set out again down Mornington pier. was wondering would it be worth trying for some gars leatherjackets whiting squid will be down there between 9 - 12 maybe later if the fishing is good. if anyone has any advice about what to target would be greatly appreciated. if anyone comes down there will be me my uncle and 1 of my mums work friends.

I know you just said 9-12 and you're fishing today. In flat water on a sunny day Mornington will produce less than at dusk or dawn. Flat water is ok for squid but almost all the really good days I've had in that area on anything other than squid have come in rough conditions or in the rain.

was a horrid day for fishing 1 squid caught all day and it wasn't even caught be me a guy said earlier there where gars my uncle lost a fish couple of bites beter than being at home.

e.welch you had a great day, I was the one who had a horrid day, I had weeding in the garden all day.
You have some stories to tell, a great time out and hopefully your Uncle got you some Maccas on the way home
