Always thinking of how to make it better! Sinker would work but I think it's working ok now though (I'm not great at building things). I think it's actually pretty cool sometimes when the camera faces down on the drop. Otherwise i can just cut out that part of the video next time.
Doesn't have to be very complicated. Make it a simple DIY.
Something like this. The heavier the sinker the better as it will keep the line tight and not moving around much.
I'll post up a photo of the setup tonight. The problem is there's nowhere to tie a sinker onto. Can't drill into the case either and keep it waterproof, and need to keep the back free to open/close the case.

loop knot and when you go to screw it into its attachment put the loop knot in first.

That's a good idea.

Yeah show us a photo. Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas.
And use like 4lb line for the sinker. In case the sinker got snagged, you'll break the line and only lose a sinker.

Tempted to go try now! Usually they are only small. I've caught the bigger ones before, same with yakkas (but i think they are cowanyoung) but not common.

I'll take more photos from different angles later. This is all I have on my phone.

I don't use the screw, the clip attaches onto the 2 rings where the screw goes. The back opens up to put the GoPro in. Have to open it regularly to get the GoPro out to transfer files and link to phone so i can't tie it down.

Humm hard to get ideas by just looking at those photos.
Maybe just make a loop knot and wrap the whole camera and some duck tape, or something. Lol.
Play around and see which one works to hold a sinker.
