Bag

Post by DougieK » Fri Nov 20, 2015 4:20 pm

Hit up a south bay pier Thursday night for squid followed by a whiting session nearby.

Picked up 4 arrows and 6 Cala's...released quite a few more.

Easily my pb squid session. Biggest Cala went just on 30cm and was fat as, largest arrow a bit smaller.

Didn't get any whiting.

Arrow squid hit hard.

Watch your hands around those arrows. Nasty little buggers. My son got one a few months ago at sorrento. Hopefully it's means we are in for a good shark season this year

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Ultra aggressive the arrows will turn around and try to bite you. Put them in a live tank with calamari and they will eat them for lunch.

Not the tentacles as such. They have a beak which is hard and painful.
