Slimy mackerel

Hi guys, was just wondering if any one knows of any good spots around Sorrento where you can get some slimies for live baits?
Any feedback would be appreciated :-D

Ive only ever caught them in WPB, however I think they are fairly common closer to the entrance to PPB. If I was after them specifically I would sound around until I found a school of bait on the sounder and drop some sabikis into them and see what happens.

Otherwise anchor up and berley like a maniac and bait fish should show up.

Having said all that, I have never really had much luck catching bait fish in PPB, but I havent really tried a great deal either. Im sure someone with more experience will be able to help more.

I've caught slimies off sorrento pier after burlying at night a couple of years ago, I haven't been back since but would assume they are still there on the right night.

Aren't they around Mornington pier from time to time? Or am I thinking of something else?

I've found them pretty hard to come by to be honest.
