Thats very interesting. I'm going to try this method next time I go. 1 with a float the other without.

if pascali the italian is asian it may well be him... Ive never fished properly for squid. heres hoping. might try monday or tuesday

I am thinking of going down to the Mornington Peninsula to have a fish on Monday. I want to fish off one of the piers. What's biting and which pier to go to? Cheers Paul
